Beyond Borders is a global children's literacy initiative that brings together young people from around the world through storytelling, poetry and artwork.
We believe every child has a unique voice, and that sharing stories is one of the most powerful ways to build understanding, empathy and friendship across cultures.
Each year, participating schools are invited to contribute creative work to a professionally published international anthology, celebrating the imagination, experiences and perspectives of children from every corner of the globe.
Beyond Borders is not a competition. Every contribution has value because every child's voice matters.
More than producing a book, Beyond Borders aims to inspire creativity, improve literacy and encourage children to explore both their own communities and the wider world. Through writing and art, young people are given the opportunity to express themselves while discovering the experiences, traditions and cultures of others.
As the project grows, we hope to build a lasting international archive of children's voices, capturing a unique snapshot of childhood across different countries, languages and cultures each year.

We want children to see that, although they may live thousands of miles apart, they share many of the same hopes, dreams, interests and experiences.
By celebrating both our similarities and our differences, we hope to inspire curiosity, kindness and global understanding for generations to come.
